The Meneyata Park Lot Owners Association (MPLOA Inc.) is a nonprofit corporation formed for the mutual benefit of private lot owners in the Meneyata Park subdivision of Wahpeton, Iowa. In 1914 when William and Emma Flindt platted this area, they dedicated three beaches to the lot owners.  There are roughly 275 lot owners with the Flindt dedication that (see Article II, Section 2.1 of our bylaws) who are eligible to join the association and be voting members. The map below shows the streets in Meneyata Park that include the Flindt dedication for the beaches.  

The MPLOA Inc. manages and maintains the three beaches in Meneyata Park: ArrowheadHiawatha and Papoose. Arrowhead Beach is located at corner of Arrowhead Street and Lakeside Avenue and is the designated swimming beach.  Hiawatha is on Lakeside Avenue at the southeast entrance to Millers Bay and is a great place to sit and enjoy the sunset and fish. The smallest of the three beaches is Papoose and it has a boat ramp suitable for small watercraft. It is located at the corner of Harpen Street and Lakeside Avenue.
